New computer, new Blog.
And a new style for the Blog. Leaner, meaner and, hopefully, shorter.
So rather than chronicle a period of time, this Blog will focus on singular events or single days. Like this one . . . a delicious feast at the WaHo (Waffle House for you unfortunates who haven't yet had the opportunity to live life on the wild side and eat there).
I do, you know. I really do Love Waffle Houses. Were I to live near one I am sure I would attempt to dine there a minimum of once a week.
"Ich esse sehr gerne dort !!"

And here it is. The Wonderland of Waffles. The Boutique of Bowls. The Salon of Sausages.
Small, unpretentious and simple . . . but oh, the gastronomic delights within.
A Disneyland of Dining.
We had some fun celebrating before we went into the diner.
First up was Amy's Selfie.
Naturally, Michelle had to have a turn.
But I nailed it. Totally!!
It's true!! It really is. To say we had fun would be an understatement. Well, for me it would be.
And the Selfies kept on coming.
Awwwwww . . .
Happy Jack!!
Not self-conscious at all!
There ya go!!
WaHo Pride!!
And this is Edith. She had seen us coming into the restaurant with our Waffle House Sweatshirts on and rushed outside to greet us. And she came bearing gifts, too.
We each got a WaHo hat that we can trade in for a 'Free Waffle' at some future date. Plus she gave us all pins for our WaHo Hoodies. See the pink ones on the girl's hoodies?
Edith was fun.
Ah, my kinda place.
Simple, straight-forward and delicious. Oh, and hearty, too. It'll fill you up!!
The menu is a classic, too. I visited a WaHo in Beaufort, SC several years ago and it was the same doggone menu!!
There is a genuine and real comfort in things that are familiar and friendly.
Ah, culinary heaven. I don't know why they ordered so small.
Not me!!
Go big or go home!!
I got a Bowl of artery-clogging goodness plus . . . a side of biscuits and gravy.
Heart!?! I don't need no steenkin' heart!!
One of my fond memories is when I visited Jeff while he was on his Mission. We went to the local WaHo before I left and Jeff surprised me by playing the Waffle House Polka on the jukebox. I wanted to do the same for the girls but it wasn't on the playlist.
I had to settle for some other WaHo songs. Sure wanted that Polka, though.
Love ya, WaHo!!
And that's my first small adventure. I was sparing in my descriptions. Oh, boy howdy, did I want to add a lot more but . . . I listen to my audience. All one of her.
Just one small adventure among the many I had as we traveled on, "The Mother Road".
HOOAH!!
